Witness an historic event for our area…
Come out and experience a historic event for the Midwest. We have partnered with the Children’s Museum of Terre Haute to host a solar eclipse viewing event. A solar eclipse will occur Monday April 8. The eclipse will begin at 1:50 pm, totality for 2 minutes and 56 seconds at 3:06 pm, and the last part of the eclipse at 4:23pm. It’s been 819 years since Indiana last seen a total eclipse and the next solar eclipse in North America can’t be seen until 2044. We will have activities, vendors, viewing glasses (while supplies last, families might have to share), a telescope with a solar viewing lense, and staff will be present to help answer any questions. This event is free to the public.
